The construction of the new Pescara Aqueduct continues.

Activities for the construction of the work, one of the first earthquake resilient aqueducts built in Italy, continue on four distinct areas of intervention.

For the water supply network of Pescara – Route Variation and Securing of the section between Capodacqua di Arquata and the Borgo d’Arquata junction, Ai is carrying out the Supervision of Works and Safety Coordination during Execution.

More than 160 m of the Borgo d’Arquata tunnel have been completed with traditional excavation, the southern entrance of the Grisciano tunnel to be built with TBM with related base camp is being prepared, the reinforced concrete works of the bridge-pipe crossing south of the Tronto River are under construction, and the works of access to the construction site in Capodacqua functional to the construction of the low loading tank and the start of the laying of the new water pipeline diam. 900 mm are being completed.

On September 16, 2024, the first site visit of the Technical-Administrative Testing Commission took place.
